Which blog format?

Sarah
That's my friend Sarah. She's one of my artist friends and she is just very cool. We did this photo in my studio.

So... I'm trying to decide if I want to use Blogger for my personal blog. I already own the domain www.robertgiordano.com and I could choose one of the following:

a) build my own site, as I do for other clients and use my own content manager. It has very simple blog editing features but it would do fine. I use it to update sites like www.Poestories.com
b) build my own site and use something like Wordpress.
c) use Blogger and redirect my domain name to it.

I definitely want to make my own custom layout and I'm good with CSS and all of that. I'm still exploring the Blogger controls to see how difficult it will be to completely customize my layout.

I like that I can email a post if I need to. The primary purpose of my blog will be to post the many random photos I take from day to day that don't make it to my commercial web site or aren't such works of art that I plan to show them anywhere else. I do take a LOT of photos so I need a place to share them.

Why not use Flickr you ask? Well, I do have a Flickr page but its not like a blog, or at least it just didn't satisfy the "blogging" aspect that I want. I posted a bunch of pictures but then I got bored with it. We'll see how this goes.

Okay, so I'm off to work on my layout in Photoshop and then I'll see how difficult it will be to adapt the layout to Blogger.
