Rotten Tomato Still Life

Rotten Tomato Still Life
I left an organic tomato sitting in a window sill for a few days and I decided to do a nice portrait of it. I used my Nikon D200 with a vintage, manual focus 55MM/F2.8 Micro-Nikkor lens. The sheer curtain acts as a diffuser for the sunlight while an SB800 bounced off the ceiling provides some light on the front. Balancing the two light sources took several tries but in the end, I think its a fairly nice exposure. As for the tomato, it is apparently teeming with life. =)

Very obliging subject to let you photograph it without benefit of makeup artist and stylist.
Photogenic, yes. Edible...not so much.
